REVIEWS

The Chosen Six - "This was the best theatre production I have seen....5 stars." (Stephen Bubar - Remotegoat Reviews)

Just One Day - "Just One Day is powerful stuff, well written and intelligently performed and it deserves to reach a wide audience.... 4 1/2 Stars " (Laura Maley - Public Reviews)

The Events - "On opening night, it was the turn of the SHE Choir, an all-female group that was borne out of the musical talents of The University of Manchester. Opening the play with uplifting and energetic versions of two Paul Simon songs, it seems at first that they will only be there for musical accompaniment. But it quickly becomes clear that they have a much more important role. They are in fact there to be a backdrop to Claire’s worsening mental state." (Fran Slater - The Manchester Review)

Spring and Port Wine - The family themselves are a highly believable group and enjoyable to watch.....the fiancé of daughter Florence (Mary Geraldine Hooten, in another enjoyable performance). (RemoteGoat - Chris Sims)

7 - SLOTH - "Sloth for example; set as a televised sleepathon unfolded, was a darkly satirical take on society's perception of laziness and the media's obsession with fish bowl television. It left me vowing never to watch reality TV again." (Flaneur Art Blog Review)

A Fist Full of Love - "The acting was sublime from the three lead actresses....Mary Hooton (Samantha)...The chemistry between them was excellent, and really captured the audience’s attention throughout. The inevitable scenes of domestic abuse were indeed harrowing and gruelling to watch, but like everything else in the play, nothing ever felt forced or included simply to shock – the action was believable, like a slice of real life captured on stage. So much love, care and attention to detail had clearly gone into the crafting of this performance. Everyone involved should feel proud of this exceptional piece of theatre that left its enraptured audience both stunned and moved. 5 out of 5." (Callum Mitchell - Large Manchester Reviews)

Little Malcolm and His Struggle Against the Eunuchs - "....some genuinely shocking scenes near the end, involving the 'chick' who was the object of Malcolm's lust (played by Mary Gerardine Hooton, who put in the evening's only impressive performance).... " (Adam Ford - Catalyst Reviews)

7 - "I watched 7 last night. It was fantastic! The 2 hours felt like 30 mins, it was so grasping, different, very deep stuff, thought provoking and heart hitting. Every sketch was just awesome! Sloth: 'Was the most fun', 'reminded me of Jim Cartwright's 'Bed', 'cracking opening to the show' (Audience members)

Asylum Dialogues - "Thanks so much to you (Clea Langton - Director) and Mary for your performance in Bradford last night. It was very powerful, and made a great impact on everyone there." (Craig Barnett - City of Sanctury)
